Hope is the daughter of Flocke and Raspi and she came to Jimmy’s Farm from Orsa after spending a few months in the Peak Wildlife Park with her sons Nanook and Noori.
Hope is the heaviest polar bear here at 400kg.
She’s also the boss and doesn’t allow Flocke and Tala entry into the house.
As such, Jimmy’s are going to make alterations and add another access point.
Eventually, after being called by the keeper, Hope came out of the wood, where she had been in hiding.

Hope ……on her way back to the main house at Jimmy’s Farm.
She headed for the house where Flocke & Tala were and let’s say she received a less than friendly greeting from both bears!
After calming down, Hope was bottle fed oil while Tala & Flocke looked on enviously.
Hope being hand fed an oil supplement by the keeper …..with Tala & Flocke closely watching on.
Hope can be a cute clown, too. 🙂

Jimmy’s Farm is finding out like Berlin Zoo, Emmen and Hellabrunn that all girl Polar Bear groups can be quite stressful.
As in the wild Hope is no longer treating Flocke as her mother but instead as a rival.

Hope is a ‘stunner’, a really big girl and well prepared for the winter.
Mums and daughters are one of those things with polar bears. Sometimes it works out surprisingly well for a long time, as with Tonja and Hertha in Berlin, sometimes it doesn’t work out at all, as with Vienna and Vilma back then in Rostock, and they become rivals, as Ralph said. It’s good that the ladies on Jimmy’s farm can keep out of each other’s way and have somewhere to retreat to!

I am very happy to see Hope again. She is a huge Lady now. I hope the bears at Jimmy`s Farm will be happy together.

AMAAI, wat een dikke taart!!! Yes, she is having the looks of her father, but also showing the funny side. When I see these pics as well as the pics of the other polar bears in the UK, it is obvious that they need space most of all. I am very happy that they have it again after Orsa.
Ja, soviele Mädels zusammen ist manchmal schon eine Herausforderung !!
Gut, dass die vier Eisbärinnen soviel Platz haben und sich aus dem Weg gehen können !! Mithilfe der Tierpfleger und die gemeinsamen Fütterungen scheint dieses Miteinander auf Abstand zum Glück ja zu funktionieren…👍🐻❄️🐻❄️🐻❄️🐻❄️😊
