Terve! Hello! It’s your Sisu calling again. Nobby and I have been separated from the other bears because our hormones are playing games with us. Well, this separation doesn’t prevent us from having fun anyway – at least most of the time!
Nobby is a cool kind of guy and knows how to relax.
Of course, he has his active moments, too!
He found a blue canu …. or rather what was left of it.
Unfortunately Nobby isn’t an expert on canus so it looks rather ‘out of date’.
Nobby loves to play with the canu anyway and that’s all that matters – don’t you agree?
I start my days with some morning gymnastics because I want to keep myself in good shape.
Rolling and stretching on the grass also gives my fur an interesting colour.
Sometimes I get bored to be alone so I go ‘bear hunting’. Oh no, don’t get upset, I only keep looking for the other guys.
Where’s everybear?
Those bl…y hormones always make things so difficult! I hope I can soon be the nice myself again so I can meet the others!
Nobear here so I keep on wandering.
We have such big enclosures so it isn’t easy to find anybear.
Maybe I’ll be more lucky in the other end of the enclosure …
Oh bear, what’s this?
We are not amused as Queen Victoria used to say.
Oh well, I didn’t see any other bears but I’m quite happy by myself, too! Bye bye for now – see you all soon again!
Dear Pat! Thank you so much for these wonderful photos!
Tolle Fotos von Sisu und Nobby und eine ebenso tolle Story dazu !!
Nur gut, dass im YWP ausreichend Platz ist, wenn’s “eng” wird bei den Eisbären!!
Dear Pat and Mervi!
Thank you for the interesting story. Nobby played very nice. Sisu is more for relaxing.
Hugs
Ludmila
Dear Pat and dear Mervi!
Thank you for the update on the polar bears Sisu and Nobby in Yorkshire and the great pictures!.
In spring, hormones seem to take over many living creatures – two-legged and four-legged… 😉
It’s good that the young male bears can be separated until things have calmed down. Unfortunately, they have to put up with the fact that they get a bit bored on their own.
But the funny subtitles make the whole thing very entertaining for us.
BtW: It’s a pity the kayak is ruined, it served the bears well……
Hugs
Anke
Liebe Mervi,
Britta-Gudrun
Dear Pat and Mervi
The March hormone burst is a real test for the Rangers. Sisu and Nobby compete to be friendly with Indy and Yuma. It used to be everybear wanting Pixel
Dear Pat and Dear Mervi, the more pics I see of this park, the better I like it. The enclosures of the polars are definitely no “blingbling” ones, but pure nature and that is how they like it.
Thank you very much dear Mervi and Pat.
Best wishes to Sisu and Nobby.
” TERVE!, dear SISU, you said it loud enough – such I could hear you and came here to say HELLO to you and your fellow inhabitants at YWP(Yorkshire Wildlife Park/Doncaster-South Yorkshire/UK).
Hmmm – you and they are separated unfortunately for good reason ‘at the moment’) ”
In addition I would like to say ‘THANK YOU’ to Pat Waldron (photos) and to Mervi (for the entertaining subtitles and editor-in-Chief’s work).
As I learn from this article there are some ‘difficulties caused by life’. . . . . Oh no!: those damed hormons! . . .
Small consolation: this time will be over as quickly and unexpectedly as it ‘appeared ;-)))
Good luck! And have fun all together when the time has come for the ‘reunification’ 🙂
