This time I want to start the article by showing some nice photos of proud animal mothers with their children.
Little Otis is the only polar bear baby born in Europe this season so, naturally, he’s very special for us all ….
…. and most precious to his mama Frimas!

Frimas and Wilbär can be very proud of their adorable son Otis.
Maybe you remember that Henk (the father of Nivi and Elva) was together with Frimas and the kids before he moved to another zoo. It remains to be seen if even Wilbär will join his family.
In the apes’ nursery this mother is wondering which fairy tale to read to her baby. 🙂
The cangoroo baby has a most secure ‘nest’ in mama’s belly.

The brown bears haven’t been hibernating. They keep exploring the enclosure and I think they found some new enrichment.

Dear Mervi and dear Hans!
Thank you for the lively and varied pictures from Nuenen! Otis is no doubt making his mum and the visitors very happy and it is certainly wonderful to see a little polar bear in spring. Wilbär doesn’t get too much out of it, but he seems to be doing well too.
The other animals were also beautifully photographed.
I like them all and find each one adorable. I found the mini chimpanzee particularly cute and the relaxed bear at the end just puts me in a good mood.

OTIS ist ein bemerkenswert hübsches Eisbärenkind und seine Eltern sehen ebenfalls bestens aus. Bestens ist es natürlich a ber vor allem, dass es allen Dreien gut zu gehen scheint.
Hans Muskens hat die drei beeindruckend und liebenswert ins Bild gesetzt wie auch die anderen tollen Tiere, die er getroffen und fotografiert hat.
