3.2.2024 – Photos by Krister Nässén
When Krister goes walking or maybe skiing he meets some fantastic wiews. The snowy landscape just takes one’s breath away – at least if you’re a Winter lover. I’m sure you agree when you see the photos which were taken in Uppland and Jämtland in Sweden.
The blue hour. Because of the snow it never gets too dark even though the sun only shows for a short time.
Even the pale sun rays colour the trees in many different shades.
The trees without leaves make a beautiful ‘lace pattern’.
The horses are used to the Winter
Of course, Krister has even met many lovely feathered friends during his outdoor activities.
Blåmes – Blue tit
Gråsiskor – Common redpolls
Rödhake – Robin
Koltrasthona – Blackbird female
Stjärtmesar – Tail tits
Svartmes – Coal tit
Because I come from the north Finland these photos remind me of my home town. They are balm to my soul when I feel homesick during the Winter. We hardly ever have a real Winter in Malmö.

BENEIDENSWERT, so viel Schnee in einer wunderbaren Landschaft, eine herrliche Natur❣
EVERYTHING shown and described is unbelievably beautiful!
No wonder you and Vesa felt at home enough for such a long time in SWEDEN and still DO.
One would like to bath in each and any of the photographs 🙂
Thank you for presenting all this beauty to us!
Dear Krister and Mervi!
Thank you for the wonderful winter pictures. It looks great, but very cold.
Hugs

Dear Mervi and Krister!
Thank you for this dream in white! It all looks beautiful and romantic and is perfect for cosy winter dreams. I was especially happy about the cute little birds, e.g. the robins, the blue tits or the long-tailed tits!
In the city, winter is neither so beautiful nor so romantic – and if it is, then only very briefly, before the snow turns to grey slush and you’ve already slipped several times on slippery ground…
Hugs
Anke
Thank you very much dear Mervi and Krister.
Wonderful photos.
Dear Mervi and dear Krister!
Yes, winters change. They are getting milder and it is raining instead of snowing.
I can still remember a lot of snow and weeks of cold during the Winter time.
The pictures from snow-covered Sweden are enchanting.
Hugs,
Anita
