Von meinem eigenen Besuch in diesem Zoo weiß ich, dass der Zoo in Köln wirklich schön ist. Eine grüne Oase inmitten der Stadt.

Die Elefantenanlage ist der Wahnsinn.

Ich habe mich sehr gefreut über Eure herrlichen Bilder und ein Wiedersehen mit diesem Zoo.

All the animals look very healthy and happy in their surroundings. The baby elephant is particularly gorgeous and it was great to see the anteater walking around outside. We have two of them at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park and they only ever sleep when I visit.

Thank you for your report from Cologne Zoo.
I would have liked to know a bit more about how the elephants are kept.
I think there are 12 animals in the herd at the moment. In this zoo, the elephants are kept without physical contact with the keepers. This means that the keepers are never in the enclosure with them or are always separated from them by bars and barriers.

Danke für diesen schönen Rundgang im Kölner Zoo, den ich vor langer Zeit das letzte Mal besucht habe! Damals gab es noch Eisbären… Eure Bilder sind gewohnt eindrucksvoll und zeigen Tiere, denen es offensichtlich gut geht.
Natürlich gehört der kleine Elefant inmitten seiner Familie zu den Besucherlieblingen, aber auch das Mini Trampeltier, die Brillen- und Malaienbären, die Geparden, Löwen und Tiger und alle anderen Tiere sind Attraktionen des Zoos und von Euch schön in Szene gesetzt.
Der Mammutbaum scheint riesig hoch und ist mindestens genauso groß wie der in Rostock.

The Cologne Zoo sure looks very green and spacious with big enclosures for the animals. The mammut trees are very impressive, too.

The baby camel is every so cute and I love the photo of the raccoon.

The cheetah looks lovely and the spectacled bear looks very active walking with such determined steps. Even the sun bears were visible during your visit.

The ant eaters are very shy so you were lucky to see one this day.

The baby elephant certainly steals everybody’s heart. What a sweetie!

What a nice time you had in this zoo. Thank you for inviting us for a great zoo tour with you!
