Dear Mervi, Arkadi and Sergej!
It’s a pleasure to see the two young polar bear ladies playing in their imaginatively designed enclosure. It is obvious that they are well and in good spirits. The pictures are wonderful and both bears are beautiful in every colour.
The difference to Gerda and Kai’s enclosure is striking and I hope that they too will be able to enjoy a more beautiful living environment. But the enclosure isn’t everything and the affectionate carers have so far managed to compensate for the shortcomings by keeping them occupied with toys and selected treats.

Dear Mervi,
Watching the two of them climbing is great fun.
At last they’ve been able to swap the dreary concrete desert for this lovely enclosure where they can really keep themselves occupied.

Unfortunately, the parents have to stay in the desolate stone desert….
