Dear Pat!
I too am amazed how many different monkeys and little apes live in this zoo and can imagine that you can spend a lot of time observing them. I find bonobos pretty and gibbons very elegant, but I have no particular favourites among them. I like almost all the monkeys and apes...., and also find the Kirk Dik Diks very cute and snow leopards beautiful.
Thank you for introducing us to Twycross Zoo with many beautiful photos.

Hugs

Dear Pat,

that is an impressive population of the different species of monkeys! I especially love the gibbons, they have such an interesting way of walking sideways and shimmying through the branches of the trees.

Unfortunately the video with the monkey and its interesting way of drinking water is not available.

A similar behaviour can sometimes be seen in cats, who dip their little paw in the water and then lick the drops off the paw.

Thank you for the beautiful photos and best regards!
