Thank you for your beautiful report and the great photos of Tessaloniki, of which I particularly like Olympus.

The link about the history of your hometown is very interesting and worth reading, and everyone probably associates Melina Merkouri with Greece.

As in all cities by the sea, seagulls are of course a fixture, but so are pigeons and although they are a symbol of peace, they are not always and everywhere popular.

Your few pictures make one want to see more!
It must be nice to live in a Mediterranean city by the sea. Olympus, the seat of the gods, is certainly a magical mountain.
You obviously like pigeons. Each one of them is an individual and looks different.
In our area there are many wood pigeons, which are protected. Although pigeons are considered gentle birds of peace, sometimes they are not very friendly to each other, especially when it comes to food.

The photo of the seagulls was taken during a boat trip.

Mount Olympus looks picturesque with its white cap.
The White Tower looks old and strong.
Seagulls belong to the sea, as do the waves. You have photographed pigeons with different plumage . I recognise that each pigeon is unique in its kind.
