Dear Mervi,

yes, for the two of them the separation has actually brought considerable advantages in terms of their larger enclosure, and the pain of separation from their mum is easier to bear with two.

The photos are fantastic and show a beautiful pair of siblings in the snow, that’s how it should be.

Belka and Strelka are adorable at the age of two and certainly THE centre of attraction at Novosibirsk Zoo. I would like to congratulate these two lovely girls and wish them all the very best for the new year and even more snow this winter!

Vielen Dank für die schönen Fotogrüße von Belka und Strelka!! Die Zwillinge, die heute Geburtstag haben, scheinen mittlerweile gut ohne Mama Gerda zurechtzukommen und sie genießen nicht nur ihre Zweisamkeit, sondern ganz besonders den Schnee...
