The zoo is not one I am familiar with and the entrance into it looks absolutely stunning.

Pairi Daiza ist der Traum eines einzelne Mannes.
Er hat nicht nur großzügige und tolle Tieranlage gebaut.
In den einzelnen Bereichen wurde auch entsprechend gebaut. So wurden als Beispiel Tempelanlagen oder dieser prächtige Eingangsbereich gebaut.
Der Zoo ist eine Weltreise. Da macht ihn sehr sehr interessant.

Ich denke, dass Ihr zwei Tage dort wart, ist eine gute Entscheidung. Ich denke für eine Weltreise braucht es mindestens zwei Tage.

Danke für die vielen und interessanten Bilder und den Bericht.

Liebe Ludmila,

Pairi Daiza unterscheidet sich mit diesem eleganten Einangsbereich wirklich sehr von anderen Zoos, und wenn man die Erklärungen von Patricia liest, versteht man auch den Hintergrund zu der exclusiven Ausstattung.
Die große Bärenpopulation ist beeindruckend und den anderen Zoobewohnern geht es bestimmt gut, und das ist ja die Hauptsache.

Schade, dass ihr Patricia nicht treffen konntet.

Dear Anke,
Although you have the feeling that the entire layout of Pairi Daiza is rather pompous and exagarreted, believe me, the well-being of all animals is the most important goal/aim (whatever you may call it). You are right by supposing that it was Mr. E. Domb’s dream to create this place (almost from scratch), and yes, it is costing a lot of money and yes again, Pairi Daiza is every year again hoping for lots of visitors. But when Mr. Domb started his dream, he did not only want to bring the animals there, but also an important part of the country of their origin, including its history, culture and relations to other inhabitants – humans included. What you need the most when visiting Pairi Daiza is TIME. I hope that one day, you have the pleasure of being there.

Dear Ludmila and Uwe, thank you so much for these wonderful pictures of Pairi Daiza. The entrance indeed looks beautiful, but if I am allowed to say it: according to me, each and every part of Pairi Daiza looks beautiful. It was a pity that the weather gurus were not nicer, but tja, considering the period of the year ….. This is the first time that I saw pics related to Halloween, pretty spooky and it may be said: they have done more than their best, isn’t it. Your pics of the snow leopards are great, especially those of the tail. and also the pic of the yin/yang water bassin. It is expressing the philosophy of the entire park, creating a good balance. But I have to confess something: I cannot recall where the penguins were!!! and you are talking of a new enclosure. Does this mean: a real new NEW one or a existing but now improved one?

Wow! Das sind wirklich beeindruckende Bilder dieses Ausnahme Zoos. Auf mich wirkt das Ganze fast zu pompös und übertrieben und die Architektur der Anlagen scheint wichtiger zu sein als die Tiere, die so zu Beiwerk werden. Aber da hat sich jemand seine Träume erfüllt und solange die Tiere gut versorgt werden und zufrieden sind, ist das in Ordnung. Man braucht vermutlich viele Besuche – und viel Geld… – , um alles zu sehen.
Die vielen Bären begeistern mich natürlich!

I am delighted that you took us with you to Paira Daizi.
Nuka and Quillak were always very playful and it is wonderful to see them again.
I would love to stay the night in one of the special rooms but I would not be able sleep.
