It was a sunny day and as I arrived at my parents house
in the evening, my father told me, that Knut has died.
It was one week after Fukushima and another big shock.
But the positive thing is, that Knut brought so many
people together. He & Flocke were/are the ambassadors
for polar-bears and the problems of the arctic:
they changed our views in the past and today!
So many blogs were founded and connections
built up between people in the whole world.
Thats Knuts legacy for us!

Thank you for this touching contribution!
There really was something magical about Knut. He put many people in a positive mood and many of the contacts and friendships made back then still exist today. This magazine is a good proof of that.
Today is the anniversary of his death and all those who took part in his fate at the time remember exactly where they were and what they were doing when they learnt of his death. It was a great shock and a very sad day!
But the beautiful memories and many marvellous photos remain with us. He will remain unforgettable.
