The pictures of Knut in the snow are adorable. Especially the one where he holds his nose high in his brown fur coat and marvels at the falling snow.

Knut was a very special bear because of the story of his birth and the way he was raised by a sympathetic keeper. He evoked feelings in many visitors that they had never felt for any other zoo animal before. ” Child Scheme” or not, the visitors’ sympathy and affection for this bear remained even after he was no longer a cute cub. Many people were happy when Knut appeared to be doing well and sad when he appeared to be suffering.

These winter pictures with snow and ice show him in his element and everyone who experienced him in winter from a young age was happy for him when it got cold and there was snow and ice. Many persevered for hours at the enclosure in sub-zero temperatures to see such pictures and scenes and capture them on camera.
These pictures evoke memories and with them the whole range of feelings that make Knut so unforgettable.

Knut in the snow is also one of my favorite photos of him and the top one of Marion is at the top of my ranking! The photos of Frans were also of great expressiveness in all seasons. It’s a pity that you don’t hear from him or her (?) for a long time.
