Die 35 jährige Neema war die Mama.
Als die Pfleger am Silvestermorgen auf die Anlage kamen, sahen sie das kleine Mädchen. Es wurde in der Nacht geboren und keine Mitglied der Gruppe zeigte Interesse.
Hellabrunn am 2.1.23 auf der Homepage: “Aufgrund des schwachen Gesundheitszustandes wurde nach Einberufung und Beratung einer gemeinsamen Kommission bestehend aus Hellabrunner Primatenpfleger*innen, Direktion, Tierärzt*innen und Kurator*innen sowie der zuständigen Veterinärbehörde und diversen Expert*innen des Europäischen Erhaltungszuchtprogramms für Gorillas die schwere Entscheidung einstimmig getroffen, das Jungtier zu erlösen.”

Mervi und Britta-Gudrun haben eigentlich schon alles geschrieben, was mir auch durch den Kopf ging. Hinzufügen möchte ich noch, wie toll ich es finde,, dass Du nicht nur die “Stars” wie Bären, Großkatzen, Menschenaffen und Tierkinder ablichtest, sondern auch Meerschweinchen, Eulen, Rotkehlchen und merkwürdige Amphibien und Reptilien in Deinen Bilderreigen aufnimmst. Mich erstaunt immer wieder, wie furchtlos sich Amsel, Drossel, Fink und Star in die direkte Nähe von Eisbären trauen. Danke für die Bilder und das schöne Video! Speziell über das Rotkehlchen habe ich mich sehr gefreut!

the crocodile cab for the turtle is also my hit today from your zoo tour and OTTO is perky as ever and a climbing artist all the way.

The story with Elvi and Lisa Marie is delicious, but gender confusion is not a new thing when it comes to sexing at the zoo.

La Donna is picture perfect as always and the chubby baby penguin anyway.

What a funny story of Lisa Marie and Elvis! I hope they are both happy despite the ‘mishap’.

I’m sorry the gorilla baby didn’t make it. Sometimes the mother’s instincts just fail.

I love the photo of the penguins! So far it’s easy to see who’s the baby birdie.

Giovanna is beautiful as always. I’m glad there was at least little snow for the polar bears this season.

The Pátzuaro cross-toothed newts is a new acquaintance to me just like the thorn-tailed agama. I’m not so fond of reptiles but these look quite nice. 🙂
