I have to state again:
No matter whether a story comparably lovely, lovable, and entertaining like this, is published a second time 12 years
later (31.10.2008 – 31.10.2014), it’s fun to read and see.

Even though I am not at all a fan of ‘Halloween’, stories like this, garnished with charming COLLAGES are and stay so called ‘SCOOPs’.

Thanks to everybody involved:

Dear Mervi!
You have spun such beautiful and imaginative stories about Knut that awaken wonderful and nostalgic feelings in everyone who lived through that time. Thank you so much!
I particularly like the Halloween story because I like the collages so much and our little gourmet bear gets his money’s worth – and there’s even a bit of romance thrown in. I’m amazed that pumpkin buckets didn’t become a trend, even with the kids out and about that night….

This story has special meaning for me as Flocke is celebrating Halloween with her two daughters in England. The East of England where they live is associated with Matthew Hopkins the Witchfinder General in Cromwell’s England. Played by Vincent Price in a film he is part of the English Halloween which is one of Horror Tales and Films.
It is also poignant for me as I used to joke with Doris Webb about bringing Knut to England. Whenever I watch Nobby at YWP doing his own thing, gardening and getting muddy I think of Knut.
Knut trained Giovanna in being more gentle. When she returned to Yoghi they became a real pair.
Although Flocke and Knut never met the Nuremberg team learned from Berlin how to raise her. That she became a supermum owed much to their skill.
I also remember how much younger I was and able to travel to Berlin to be at Knut’s enclosure.
So many memories
