thank you for the beautiful memories from Oktobärfest Anno 2016!

A lot has changed in Rostock since then and unfortunately Vilma and Lars have left us forever.

I would definitely prefer the bearish Oktoberfest to the human one out of the well-known and not very nice excesses at this festival.

Schöne Erinnerungen an unbeschwertere Zeiten.

Aber wie Anke, habe ich so meine Bedenken beim
diesjährigen “Riesenbesäufnis”. Ob das angesichts
steigender Inzidenzen alles so richtig war, werden
wir Mitte Oktober wissen. Hoffentlich ist dann das
Erwachen nicht böse… ?

Dear Mervi!
The Oktoberfest attracts many party-goers again this year, especially after a two-year break due to the pandemic. Even though I don’t begrudge people their fun, I would actually welcome it, in view of rising infection figures, if some polar bears would visit this year’s festival at the Wiesn, so that the necessary distances could be kept without any problems…
In any case, I’d prefer the bear binge to the mass drinking any day.
Thanks for the funny and imaginative ideas and collages!
I also fondly remembered the talented barrel thrower Vilma with her cute little son Fiete at Rostock Zoo.

I, as someone who grew up in and around Munich, have known the Oktoberfest since I was a child.
I think I would definitely like Oktoberbärfest much better.
