In reply to Ludmila. Thank you Mervi for these memories from 2008. I remember the excitement of travelling to Berlin and catching the bus to the zoo at Tegel. I always tried to get to Knut's enclosure before the zoo closed.

Dear Mervi!
Thank you for these touching pictures, collages, the lovely text and even a poem by Doro!
Knut at one and a half years old was so adorable, charming and droll, – and we were a few years younger and fitter, friendships were formed, the polar bear world was discovered… – that I too become quite nostalgic and like to think back to those days.
Times were probably not much better back then, but so many terrible things are happening at the moment, there’s just no end to it, that it often seems that way.
