I also find the fact that we humans only see the northern lights in shades of gray very interesting. Only when you look through the lens do you see the wonderful play of colors.

As far as we know, polar bears perceive their environment differently to us humans. They smell better and see worse, but they are perfectly adapted to their habitat, the ice world, in which they live and survive. 
We two-legged creatures perceive this environment as hostile, but see and feel its beauty. Hardly any colour on earth and all colours in the sky...
