Dear Mervi!
Thank you for this update from Novosibirsk! I can only agree that the separation of the twins from their mum came very early and abruptly and is saddening, but at least they were allowed to stay together and there is also some greenery in their current enclosure. Of course, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for them for the rest of their lives!

Belka und Strelka wirken noch etwas unsicher und verloren in ihrer neuen Umgebung. Nur gut, dass sie einander haben!!! Alle guten Wünsche für die Zwillinge!! Ebenso für die beiden Eisbären Shauna und besonders für Nordi, auch wenn ich nichts Genaueres über sie weiß...

As I already wrote in the article – Shauna is in the Izhevsk Zoo and she’s doing fine. Nobody knows anything about Nordi but I hope we will soon have some answers!

Dear Mervi,

It’s nice to see that the two cups are still together and in their homezoo. It would be nice if you could ask Arkadi where the previous 2 pairs of twins are and if you could show a general view of this enclosure, where there is a lot of concrete again and only a little grass.
