Snow in Yorkshire Wildlife Park!

14.1.2025 – Photos by Brian Hall

When Brian visited the Yorkshire Wildlife Park on the 5th of January he found a whole new park. The ground was covered with snow and, naturally, the polar bears were delighted. Maybe much more delighted than the two legged creatures …. 🙂

What a wonderful surprise the white stuff was!

The snow feels so soft under the paws – and even under the belly. 🙂

I don’t know which bears these two are but it’s easy to see they’re having a good time together.

Do you know what this white ‘lawn’ is?

I think it’s called snow. Sisu has told me a lot about it.

Whatever – it’s wonderful to have snow here.

Even the beautiful tiger lady Tschuna was taking a walkabout in the snow.

I guess she tasted it and wasn’t too impressed by the flavour …. 🙂

Bye bye from the snowy Yorkshire. Thank you for watching!

  1. Sisu will have been particularly happy about the snow, as it reminds him of his wonderful time in the polar bear paradise in Orsa!

And the other bears know immediately what the snow is good for – namely as a fine cushion under their bellies and paws.

  2. Dear Brian!
I am very happy for the polar bears in Yorkshire that they finally have a real winter with snow and ice! You’d think they were dancing for joy…
The beautiful tigress Tschuna doesn’t seem to be unhappy about it either.
The animals look wonderful in this wintry environment!
    Thanks for the great photos!

    Hugs
