Yesterday we received sad news of Otis’ papa Wilbär’s passing. We have lost a beloved polar bear but Wilbär will live in his children and in our hearts. We already met Nanook and Noori (yesterday) so today it’s Otis’ turn. I drafted this article already a few days ago – today it would have been too hard.
One morning Otis found a strange thingie in the pool. Of course, our turbo boy immediately started to play with it.
What on earth is this thingie?
It can be used as an elegant hat designed by one of those two legged creaters. They sure design odd looking clothes and hats!
Well, I don’t care what it is – it’s fun to play with anyway! 🙂
After all that playing Otis was rather exhausted so he took a break.
This seems to be Otis’ meditating corner. 🙂
My mama told me the Winter season will begin soon …… and hopefully it will mean snow!
I’m looking forward to the snow because I don’t know yet what it is.
Oh bear, we will have exciting times!
Before I take a nice nap I want to present our sweet lynx kitten to you.
The baby is already a skilful climber and likes to spend some time in a tree.
However, close to mama is the best and the safest place.
This brownie has a wonderful smile – don’t you agree? I wonder if he’s planning to hibernate this season ….
See you soon again!
Hallo Hans,

Dear Hans!
Thank you for your touching photos of Otis, especially after Wilbär’s death! Wilbär lives on in his children. Each of them has inherited characteristics of this beloved bear.
Since Knut, we know that the pain of losing one beloved bear is not cancelled out by another. That would not do justice to one or the other. But it helps to know that life goes on and memories remain.
Lieve Hans!
