It was a beautiful September day so the keepers in the Tallinn Zoo had arranged lunch in the ‘garden’ for their beloved polar bears Friida and Raspi.
Raspi has smelled something ….
… and the smell is coming closer and closer.
Oh yeah! There was a nice lunch table laid for him.
Raspi didn’t hesitate but immediately started eating.
What yammy stuff!
Of course, his feathered friends were waiting for some leftovers …
… although I guess there wasn’t so much left of the food. 🙂
Raspi and Friida live in separate enclosures now but, naturally, even Friida was treated with a hearty lunch.
What nice veggies!
Even though there’s a male in the Tallinn Zoo Friida is now allowed to live like a bachelorette. She looks quite happy with her ‘new life’ – don’t you agree?
Thank you, dear keepers, for feeding us with such yammy and healthy food!
The photos are screen shots from the video.
Dear Mervi!
Thank you for the good news from Tallinn. Raspi and Frida look very nice and the lunch was very good.
Hugs

Dear Mervi!
It’s good that Friida is not expected to have another pregnancy. I am curious to see what will happen with the polar bears in Tallinn. At the moment they are doing well and are being lovingly spoilt by the keepers, which I very much welcome. They both look great and are obviously enjoying the treats.
Hugs

Dear Mervi,
Friida and Raspi look marvellous and have a beautiful coat. Unlike Raspi, Friida seems to be less interested in the fruit and vegetables, and the crows have to lurk for a long time until Raspi leaves the rest of his meat meal.
I’m also glad that Friida will have a break during her pregnancy so that the two of them can get together again.
Thank you for the lovely photos and the video!
Best regards
Britta-Gudrun
