Welcome to your zoo in Weißwasser!
Weißwasser is a town in the district of Görlitz in the federal state of Saxony in Germany. Our beautiful zoo is located near the town centre, right next to the Jahnteich pond and promises recreation and relaxation for the whole family – at any time of year!
Our visitors can expect attractive and spacious enclosures and facilities with over 350 animals of more than 75 species and breeds on approximately 6 hectares. The animals come mainly from Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
At Weißwasser Zoo, we attach particular importance to the conservation of endangered species and domestic animal breeds as well as environmental education. Organised as an association, we are committed to the protection of species and animals and the animals live with us under optimal conditions.
My home is my castle!
The walk-through enclosures in our zoo allow you to come into direct contact with some of these animal species. This is a particularly enjoyable experience for children. Come and visit us as part of your next family outing. We look forward to welcoming you to our zoo soon!
The baby camel was born in February this year.
It looks like this ‘Bambi’ is having a baby soon!
If you look very carefully you can see the lynx couple napping in front of their residence. 🙂
The park is open daily from 9 am all year round. From April to October the zoo is open until 18:00, from November to February until 16:00 and in March until 17:00.
The ticket prices are very reasonable:
Day tickets: € 7.90
Annual tickets: 30 €
Dear Mervi,
Thank you very much for publishing the photos my brother sent me. I am looking forward to visiting Tierpark Weisswasser too. Best wishes to all the wonderful animals that live there.
Dear Leti!
Thank you for posting the photos. It’s always great to present a new zoo to the readers of this magazine.
My favourite is the sweet donkey. I love these animals!

Liebe Leti,

Dear Leti and Mervi!
In many smaller towns, instead of the big zoos, there are these animal parks, which are limited to fewer animals but are run with a lot of passion, donations and a few volunteers.
I particularly liked the donkeys here and am delighted with the mini lynxes.
Thanks for showing us!
Hugs
Anke
