Beautiful Berit was my main reason for this visit. It’s safe to say she answered the question on my mind (and some of yours) …. she’s doing great! Bo has arrived at the Louisville Zoo from Henry Vilas Zoo and will soon join Qannik on habitat rotation as a part of a breeding recommendation.
Berit was out when I arrived. She currently has access to both polar & grizzly habitats. She’s in the grizzly habitat for all pics.
Berit was doing lots of rolling & perfecting her dirty polar 🐻❄ look….
Every bear loves a good stick….
I see that side eye you’re giving me, Berit
Berit is now the lone polar bear in HVZ. She has now moved to the other end of the grizzly habitat.
A quick CHOMP ….
What’s up there, Berit?
Looks like a nice view ….. a crew was taking down the Christmas lights and Berit was checking them out.
“Work faster….it’s time for my afternoon siesta!”
Beautiful Berit
Hmm…thinking about taking a dip in the pool on the polar side? Not this time……
Time to clean up…..
It was a beautiful sunny day….
Thanks for putting my mind at ease, Berit …. you look amazing!!
I know …. time for a quick nap. I will see you again very soon!
Berit ist wirklich eine sehr schöne Eisbärin und es freut mich, dass es ihr auch nach der Trennung von Bo gut geht. DANKE für die tollen Fotos und die guten Nachrichten!!🐻❄️👍😊
Berit looks very well and is busy.
So I suspect that she is taking the separation from Bo quite calmly.
Michelle, your photos are great and I’m sure Berit won’t have to wait long for your next visit.
Many thanks and best wishes!

Dear Michelle!
Good that you looked after Berit. It’s a relief that she seems to be doing well, even if you can’t look inside her. She seems active and in good spirits. She is a beautiful bear and she is loved, which is the main thing with animals in captivity. I wish her many more good years!
I hope Bo and Qannik have a good time together too!
Hugs

Dear Michelle!
Thank you for your update in Berit. She looks very nice and she is curious. This is very good.
