The keepers in the Alaska Zoo gave polar bear Cranbeary enrichment for her 22nd birthday on the 21st of November and we think she enjoyed it, even if she had to share her turkey treat with some tenacious party crashers!
There was a cake and a barrel covering a yammy surprise …
…. which was a nice turkey!
After examining the gifts Cranbeary decided to enjoy her birthday dinner in peace and quiet.
I’d better take it to a safe place!
Well, the ravens had decided to share Cranbeary’s dinner.
This one was particularly eager ….
… and the others followed.
Mr Raven, listen very carefully what I tell you!
It’s MY birthday and I want to enjoy my dinner myself! You can have leftovers if there will be any.
Hmm, are these two singing ‘Happy birthday’ for Cranbeary? 🙂
Knuti’s Magazine and it’s readers send their belated birthday greetings to sweet Cranbeary and hope she will stay healthy and happy!
Thank you very much dear Mervi and John.
Happy birthday dear Cranbeary. We love you.
Dear Mervi and dear John!
That was a great birthday party and the photos are marvellous. Congratulations to beautiful Cranbeary on her 22nd birthday and I wish her many more wonderful years with loving care.
The ravens were quite brave, not to say cheeky… and you photographed them wonderfully.
I would also like to congratulate all the other polar bears who are celebrating their birthdays these days and wish them all the best.
Hugs
Anke
22 ist eine gute Zahl, meine Glückszahl!
Cranberry hat ein leckeres Geschenk be-
kommen und auch die Raben möchten etwas
davon abhaben… 😉 😀
Der Zoo hat keine Mühen gescheut 🙂
Cranberry ein schönes Fest zu bereiten!
The birthday roast was in a great package for Cranbeary, because eating and playing is the main activity for bears.
The ravens are very cheeky, but she takes it in her stride because I don’t think she’ll leave anything for the eaters.
Thanks John for the great photos and best wishes!
